What We Accept & Reject
Save yourself a round of edits; check your pitch against these before submitting.
- What We Require
- 2000+ words of original content and never published anywhere else, not even on your own blog.
- Science Based claims with citations from peer-reviewed studies, established guidelines, or recognised authorities.
- Proper H2/H3 structure, scannable sections, meaningful subheadings, and a logical flow from intro to takeaway.
- AI-assisted writing is OK when disclosed, edited heavily, and fact-checked by a human expert before submission.
- 4–5 internal link suggestions pointing to existing Imperial Fitness Hub posts that genuinely fit the context.
- A featured image idea described in one sentence: We'll produce the final graphic in-house.
- Give 4-5 image ideas according to content, and each idea should be explained in one line.
- Write content for those topics that are not published on Imperial Fitness Hub.
- What Gets Rejected
- Copied or spun content: We run every submission through plagiarism checks before review.
- Thin, affiliate-heavy posts that exist to push products rather than educate readers.
- Broken grammar or unclear writing should be edited before submitting. We won't rewrite entire drafts.
- Generic advice without expertise, like "drink more water" or "eat more protein," pieces with no unique angle.
- Unverified medical claims or advice that contradicts established evidence on diet, training, or recovery.
- Off-topic pitches If it's not clearly a fit for one of our four content pillars, it's a no.

Contributor FAQs
Everything writers ask us before pitching.
Do You Pay contributor?
At this stage, guest posts are unpaid, but contributors receive a do-follow backlink, full byline with bio, author photo, and promotion across our social channels. Our top contributors are invited into our paid columnist program after 2–3 successful publications.
Can I include an author bio and backlink?
Yes. Every contributor gets a 60–100 word bio with one do-follow link to the website of their choice (portfolio, coaching practice, or personal brand). You can also link your social handles. We don’t allow affiliate links or commercial product links in the bio.
Do you accept AI-assisted content?
AI assistance is fine when disclosed, edited heavily, and fact-checked by a qualified human. What we reject is raw, unedited AI output, it’s usually obvious, and it fails our plagiarism and originality checks. The expertise in the piece has to come from you.
How long does the review process take?
Pitch review: 2–3 business days. Once approved, drafts are reviewed within 5 business days of submission. Revisions are usually one round, completed within a week. End-to-end, most pieces go from pitch to publication in 3–4 weeks.
Can I republish my post on my own site?
After a 90-day exclusivity window, you’re welcome to republish with a clear canonical link pointing back to the original on Imperial Fitness Hub. This protects the SEO benefit for both parties. Republishing before 90 days requires written permission.
What if my pitch is rejected?
We always respond with a brief reason, most often “topic overlap with a recent post” or “angle not specific enough”. You’re welcome to pitch again with a revised topic. Rejection is never personal; it’s almost always about fit or timing.
